Overview

The 'Everything Happens Somewhere' conference is aimed at local government address, street and geographic information experts, all of whom require access to a range of software and services from suppliers.

Nowadays, local authority staff find it difficult to get the approval to travel to events, which means that we have to be innovative in designing an event which fits their needs.

By supporting knowledge exchange, providing key note speakers, best practice, training and workshops, together with a detailed spotlight on applications enabled by addressing, streets and geographic information, our event aims to attract over 300 delegates from local government.

However, in order to perform most effectively, software is needed to enable public services to understand 'place' and deliver their services to over 700 different services to people and places.

By running an exhibition alongside the conference, delegates are given the opportunity to see what new software and services are available and understand how this can help them in challenging times.

Attendance at the conference is strictly limited to the target audience and exhibitors, thus providing an excellent opportunity for suppliers to network with key addressing, street and geographic information management in local government.

The Event

Now in its eighth year, the ‘Everything Happens Somewhere’ conference and exhibition is organised by GeoPlace. The event is designed to deliver value to all those that participate: exhibitors, delegates and speakers...

The agenda is planned to enable as much networking as possible between exhibitors and delegates; all refreshment breaks take place in the exhibition areas and there are two social receptions planned – one the night before the conference and one at the close of the conference, allowing further networking. Running alongside the conference is the exhibition which will be of interest to suppliers whose key target markets are local government address, street and geographic information experts and the applications that this data enables.

The Awards are highly valued by local authorities and designed to capture initiatives and demonstrate to other authorities as well as to the wider public sector the value of the information that local authorities manage on a day-to-day basis.

The Opportunity

Exhibition spaces are available for a limited number of organisations and suppliers. There are no speaking opportunities for suppliers this year but there will be an opportunity to include relevant literature in the delegate packs.
