GeoPlace has announced the winners of the 2014 Exemplar Awards. The Awards are designed to showcase the innovation and value local authorities deliver in managing and utilising their address and street information.
The BAPCO Journal has recently published by article by Tony Bracey, Multi Agency Information Transfer (MAIT) Project Manager, at the Joint Emergency Services Group (Wales).
The new version of the National Street Gazetteer Data Entry Conventions document (NSG-DEC) version 3.6 has been published. The document provides the basis for forming a consistent national (England and Wales) dataset (NSG) made up from the constituent LSGs created and maintained by local government and other organisations in England and Wales.
GeoPlace has published a book of case studies from the winners, runners-up and those highly commended from the 2013 Exemplar Awards presented at GeoPlace's ‘Everything Happens Somewhere' annual conference.
Working on behalf of all local highways authorities under the Data Co-operation Agreement, GeoPlace has launched a web service to transform the National Street Gazetteer (NSG) to be compliant for the INSPIRE Transport Network theme.
