TRO Discovery: local authority costs

The project team have had engagement from over 300 organisations with an interest in the TRO Process and/or TRO Data as part of the initial consultation. Over the last month we have been reaching out to numerous organisations, some of which took part in the original consultation, in order to delve deeper and explore user needs. The research continues into March and the project team will have carried out in depth interviews with over 100 different organisations when this aspect of the TRO Discovery finishes.

As part of the user research we need to understand the local authority costs associated with the creation of Permanent TROs, Temporary TROs and Temporary Traffic Notices. As such we have launched two new surveys and would really value your time in completing them.

1)    TRO Discovery: Permanent Order Costs

This survey seeks to understand the costs that are incurred by a local authority in the creation of Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders.

  • How many TROs are created – what is the cost to create them?

  • What mechanisms are used to notify/consult on TROs – what is the cost?

  • What software is used – what is the cost?

  • Have TROs been Consolidated – what was the cost of this exercise?

  • Other costs

A PDF document of the survey questions is available here – please view this and obtain relevant information before attempting to complete the survey.

The deadline for submission is Tuesday 26th March 2019.

2)    TRO Discovery: Temporary Order/Notice Costs

This survey seeks to understand the costs that are incurred by a local authority in the creation of Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTROs) and Temporary Traffic Notices

  • How many TTROs are created - what is the cost to create them?

  • How many Temporary Traffic Notices are created – what is the cost to create them?

  • What mechanisms are used to notify/consult on TTROs – what is the cost?

  • What software is used – what is the cost?

  • Other costs

A PDF document of the survey questions is available here – please view this and obtain relevant information before attempting to complete the survey. The deadline for submission is Tuesday 26th March 2019.
