Purpose

Responsible for designing and implementing automation tests on products systems to maintain highest quality standards for GeoPlace Products. You will have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies using manual and automation testing.

Key Roles

  • Design, build and maintain automated scripts within the existing framework, adhering to coding standards.
  • Create new automation framework for new projects.
  • Prepare data and perform manual testing for data quality checks of products.
  • Analyse current technologies used within the company and develop steps and processes to improve testing procedures.
  • Provide detailed test execution reports that align with our requirements.
  • Detailed understanding of properly documenting test cases and creating compelling and focused testing plans.
  • Explore alternate automation tools to enhance productivity and test coverage.
  • Work closely with developers, business and publication team.
  • Comply with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards during the development and testing of products.

 

Other responsibilities

  • Monitor code coverage and performance for automation and look for improvements.
  • Understanding of OS/GeoPlace interfaces and systems
  • Understanding of source datasets for products
  • Member of various internal working groups to manage product release management and cross-team priorities.
  • Provide support to the publication team for UAT and Production Issues

 

Skills

Essential

  • Ability to analyse requirements and write test cases, test plans and automated scripts for end-to-end testing.
  • Selenium
  • API testing skills (REST, WebAPI), XML/XSD validation
  • Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins)
  • Experience in database testing (Oracle/Postgres)
  • Exposure to cucumber/JVM/Gherkin tools for Behaviour Driven Development (BDD)
  • Experience with distributed source control (GIT/BitBucket)
  • Process management methodology (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of non-functional testing tools like JMeter.
  • Spatial operation knowledge

  • Database (Oracle SQL and PostGres)
  • Tools - SQL Developer / Toad / DBeaver
  • Cucumber/JVM/Gherkin tools
  • GIT/BitBucket/Jenkins
  • Java, Javascript, Spring, Spring Boot

 

Desirable

  • FME Desktop knowledge
  • Products Knowledge - AddressBase, NLPG, NSG
