GeoPlace is a team of about 80 people, working on the core location data that underpins service delivery right across the public sector, to the emergency services, and to businesses right across the UK. Join GeoPlace, and you’ll be part of the UK’s biggest shared service.

We encourage learning, and our continuing professional development (CPD) scheme means that up to 10% of your time at work can be devoted to learning, whether that's formal training, on-the-job learning, or professional activities.

Most of the managers at GeoPlace have been recruited from within and have a formal management qualification from the Chartered Management Institute. Benefits include:

Flexible working

Our staff work from home or collaborate at one of our bases in Westminster and Clerkenwell in London. We often join forces on cross-team projects, but we also come together during quarterly meetups in London and virtually once a week. This makes sure you get full support, stay up to speed, but also maintain a strong work/life balance.

We communicate primarily through email, video calls, and online chat. There’ll be regular team meetings, one-to-one meetings, and fortnightly all-hands meetings hosted by senior management.

We take a positive view of flexible working requests.

We believe rest and recovery are important, so we don't expect people to work outside of business hours regularly. If there's an emergency (which is rare) or something that can only be done out of hours, then we will compensate for that with time off in lieu.

Annual and other types of leave

  • 25 days holiday per year, and 28 days after 5 years' service, in addition to bank holidays
