Awards for Data Quality and Improvement will be presented on Wednesday 29th April 2020.

All of the Data Quality and Improvement Awards will be judged by the national Custodians based on statistics generated by GeoPlace. There is no requirement to make an entry to these Awards.

Data Quality and Improvement Award for Addresses

Using statistics compiled by GeoPlace, this Award will recognise the authority which has made and achieved a real commitment to improving both the accuracy and quality of the data submitted to the GeoPlace hubs.  Attainment in the elements of the Improvement Schedule will form the core evidence used to judge this award.

Data Quality and Improvement Award for Streets

Using statistics compiled by GeoPlace, this Award will recognise the authority which has made and achieved a real commitment to improving both the accuracy and quality of the data submitted to the GeoPlace hubs.  Attainment in the elements of the Improvement Schedule will form the core evidence used to judge this award.

Best Address Data in Region

Using statistics generated by the data hubs at GeoPlace, these Awards will be judged by the GeoPlace Senior National Address Data Manager after examination of data quality reports and Improvement Schedule achievements and will be awarded to the best local authority address data within its region. One award will be given for every region in England and Wales

Best Street Data in Region

Using statistics compiled by GeoPlace, these Awards will be judged by the GeoPlace National Street Data Manager after examination of data quality reports and Improvement Schedule achievements and will be awarded to the best local authority street data within its region. One award will be given for every region in England and Wales

Gold Achievement Award for Address Data and/or Street Data

Awarded to authorities that have reached the Gold standard in the Improvement Schedule in March 2020. This award looks to acknowledge Custodians who have achieved the highest level of data quality.

Gold Performance Award for Address Data and/or Street Data

Awarded to authorities that have maintained Gold for at least ten out of the twelve months between April 2019 and March 2020. This award looks to acknowledge Custodians who have consistently maintained the highest level of data quality.

The Data Quality and Improvement Awards are judged by the GeoPlace National Address Data Manager and the National Street Data Manager based on statistics compiled at GeoPlace. No entry or nomination is required for these Awards.
