Entries for the Exemplar Award, Data Linking Award and Peer Award 2026 are now open.

Closing date: 17.00 on Thursday 30th April 2026.

The judges seek entries that stand out for their excellence and real-world impact. In particular, we value:

  • exceptional performance and high standards in address/street data management or use
  • real innovation and creative problem-solving (where relevant to the project)
  • clear demonstration that address and/or street gazetteers were central to the project's success
  • quantifiable evidence, especially financial savings or efficiency gains—facts and figures will be strongly rewarded
  • succinct, well-structured entries that follow the form instructions precisely
  • overall compliance with the Data Co-operation Agreement, effective use of wider PSGA datasets, and adherence to the Data Entry Conventions.

How to apply and key conditions

  • use the dedicated entry forms:
  • no additional appended documents will be considered—provide links to supporting information instead
  • for multiple categories, submit separate, tailored entries
  • the judges' decision is final; awards may not be given if entries do not meet the required standard
  • confidential information can be marked as such, but all details must be included and verifiable
  • by entering, you agree that non-confidential elements may be used by GeoPlace for promotion through case studies, media releases, other Awards schemes, conference presentations). Winners may be invited to present at the GeoPlace Annual Conference.

Tips for a strong entry

  • read the instructions carefully and complete every section of the form
  • provide as much quantifiable evidence as possible—savings, collaboration examples, user benefits, and outcomes make a big difference
  • keep it concise and focused
  • ask a colleague to proofread before submitting.
