The West Sussex Lane Rental Scheme charges companies a daily rate to work on it's busiest roads at the busiest times. This income funds the operation of the scheme with additional revenue going into a surplus fund which companies are able to make applications to use the fund for innovative solutions to challenges they face on the network.
