GeoPlace appoints new Head of Systems

Radha Chandrasekaran has been appointed Head of Systems for GeoPlace LLP.
Radha will have a key role in the development of the National Street Gazetteer (NSG) and the National Address Gazetteer Database from which AddressBase⢠products from Ordnance Survey are produced.
GeoPlace is a public sector limited liability partnership between the Local Government Association and Ordnance Survey. GeoPlace's role is to create and maintain the National Address Gazetteer Database and the National Street Gazetteer for England and Wales, providing definitive sources of publicly-owned spatial address and street data.
Radha's responsibilities include overall management of the GeoPlace IT development team and its outputs, the management of all GeoPlace's address and street data hubs together with the coordination and management of internal and external web applications. Crucially, Radha will also work closely with the National Land and Property (NLPG), the NSG and National Address Gazetteer Database Custodians to enhance the services provided by GeoPlace to local authorities.
Very customer focussed, Radha has had over ten years' experience in designing and developing high-end Geographic Information System (GIS) and Gazetteer Management solutions (GMS) in the UK. She is highly skilled in the entire software development, support and training life cycle of GIS and Data Management solutions. Radha has also had fifteen years' experience in enterprise software development.
