ASD records provide vital information to organisations that need to undertake street or road works to enable them to undertake works safely and efficiently. Put simply the more information that is integrated and submitted through the National Street Gazetteer the better informed site workers will be as to type of street they are digging into. GeoPlace reviews each of the four ASD data sets, to advance the authority’s ASD records in supporting street works.
The data sets that are reviewed and improved are:
- Type 61 Interest Records – who maintains or has an interest in the street (or part of the street)
- Type 62 Construction Records – the basic construction of the street in terms of traffic levels and any special surfaces
- Type 64 Height, Weight and Width Restrictions
- Type 63 Special Designation Records – a wealth of additional information
GeoPlace can support you by undertaking the following:
- Compare record type with other authoritative data sources, including but not limited to highways extents.
- Integration of an authority’s existing data sets, e.g. traffic signals
