Exemplar Award 2014

Winner - Joint Emergency Services Group (Wales)

The Exemplar Award 2014 is for the best example or demonstration of the local address and/or street datasets providing quantifiable benefit to the citizen/authority/region or nation.

Custodian of the Year Award

Winner - East Riding of Yorkshire

Nominated by their fellow Custodians, this Award aims to reward contribution to the community, or achievement within an authority.

This can include participation at a national, regional or county level, contributing to Technical Working Parties, working with other Custodians to resolve a local issue such as partnership with the emergency services, or synchronisation of gazetteers, raising awareness of the benefits of address and/or street information within the authority leading to improvements in data quality.

Most Improved Address Data

Winner - Ribble Valley Borough Council

Using statistics compiled by GeoPlace, this Award recognises those authorities who have made and achieved a real commitment to improving both the accuracy and quality of the data submitted to the GeoPlace hubs. Attainment in the elements of the Improvement Schedule form the core evidence used to judge this award.

Most Improved Street Data

Winner - Milton Keynes Council

Using statistics compiled by GeoPlace, this Award recognises those authorities who have made and achieved a real commitment to improving both the accuracy and quality of the data submitted to the GeoPlace hubs. Attainment in the elements of the Improvement Schedule forms the core evidence used to judge this award.

Best Address and Street Data in Region

Using statistics generated by the data hubs at GeoPlace, these Awards are judged by the GeoPlace NLPG and NSG Custodians respectively after examination of data quality reports and Improvement Schedule achievements, and are awarded to the best local authority address data and best local authority street data within each region.
